Spray cooling is a promising method for cooling of high power density electronics. (Computers, laser diode arrays, etc.)
Complete CFD numerical simulation of spray cooling is beyond current capability.
Spray cooling remains in the research and development stage because the underlying physics of the heat transfer processes are not fully understood.
We collaborate with groups within the Statler College of Engineering, WVU in order to complement our current expertise and advance our knowledge about current sub-cavity volume for the range of dimensionless parameters for realistic spray conditions.
